Ten years is a very long time. Even the most resilient souls can start to pine for a lost friend.

It's been a while since I posted anything. I like the new submitting thing. I felt like drawing something evocative, since my muse bothered to come back around. I collect quotations like that and it sort of inspired me.

_{EDIT: Okay, apparently I underestimated that people would wanna know what the heck's going on in the pic. Right, here's the deal: The red-head is my OC, Tess. She's a witch and she and Dante had known each other as teenagers - in fact, they got into a very stupid and dangerous situation together (you can read all about it here: Frail Equilibrium ). The end result was, they got to be quite close friends, but in the end had to part ways. For ten years. Imagine that. You meet one person that you finally can connect with (albeit in Dante's unorthodox way) and then you have to let them go for a decade, without even so much as knowing if they're alive or not. See what I mean when I said the picture was meant to be evocative.}

Actually I found your initial description very apt for the drawing. I admit I haven't read your fic as I am terrible at keeping up with my reading list (I have a stack of books that I haven't got time to finish). Even without the prior background, their fetal positions and the ghostly hands gave it away. Not to mention the look of longing in their eyes and the symmetry of the picture.

XD You know, for a while I was debating whether to keep the ghostly hands or not. I almost didn't put them in. But now I can't imagine the pic without them.

I'm so sorry XD Actually my soundtrack for this was "Lonely Boy" - The Black Keys, "Worry About You" - Ivy and "Say You'll Haunt Me" - Stone Sour. Maybe a little "Not Alone" - Red too. ^^
