Still, I'm happy with Axel's design. I hadn't drawn him in a while and I missed him. I think I've finally managed to define him as his own personality and character, and stripped off all or most of the unintentional 'Dante' and 'Squall' influences from him (if someone says anything about the trenchcoat, no, he had this on ages before The Matrix and DMC.)

He's now as he was meant to be. A darkish, determined personality who's a little insane to boot. :3 I wonder what he's hunting down this time. Whatever it is... XD I wouldn't want to be in its place when he catches up with it!!

And to answer a FAQ about him, Axel wears that cross for a reason, its not a random 'emo/goth culture' accessory. Axel is an italian Catholic and that's his birth cross that Catholics always wear, and although he may not be a horribly religious person, he's a believer enough to want to keep it on him.
