So my dear ~Razzmatazzy and a bunch my other friends have been rather fervent supporters of an old idea I had to write an adaptation of Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew".
At their insistence I wrote down some notes about it all and an outline, and then sketched out the two protagonists and just flat-colored them for a visual reference.
In my adaptation (with the perhaps temporary title The Sorceror's Wife) Petruccio is a sorcerer who rather unexpectedly marches into the citadel of Padua and for his own reasons, allows his old friend Hortensio to involve him in the wooing of the eldest daughter of one of the richest men in Padua--when she's married an out of the way, Hortensio can pursue her lovely younger sister, Bianca. Nobody is particularly thrilled, given the reputation sorcerers have, least of all the lady in question...
Kate is eldest daughter of Baptista Minola and despite her intelligence and accomplishments, she's pretty much universally called a shrew because of her rather unpleasant personality. She's not happy that her father is trying to get rid of her just to indulge her bratty little sister and she's not happy they're all trying to set her up with that crazy sorcerer that waltzed in Padua touting that he's the man to marry her.
My adaptation takes the basic structure of the play but there is going to be quite a lot of shennanigans and fantasy-related comedy. I keep on spreading myself thin like this, but oh well. Should be interesting.
Love the details, like the pattern on his pants (I wonder if I could do that to mine >>) and the hanging belt (that's cool!), really helps him seem stylish.. plus his handsome face and sexy hair (jelly). XD And the bodice is hot, I love the FF vibe.
thank you, I was hoping to bring such a feel actually. XD I dunno if you could stitch that on your pants, but I should hope someone sells such trousers, they would look wicked.
^-^ Oh thank you, love. I fins that you can make fun magic by experimentation with random stuff on photochop. I still gotta catch up with your new stuff... *tired*
You and your amazing fashion taste Kate's outfit is simply gorgeous I bet it's going to be interesting to attempt a modern take on Shakespeare's classic:3
