Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Oh god the VA. IT HURT ME. Hon, it actually hurt me. This game, just WATCHING someone else play it hurt me. The story is so... boring, really. And Donte and Wergil have shit personalities - it'd be crap even if it wasn't trying to be DMC and was it's own game. Ugh. NT fails hard.

If you do try it out, keep something you REALLY enjoy nearby to do immediately after you throw the controller. Trust me, s'for the best.

Yeah, same here. I would've been okay if they hadn't made such an embarrassing cluserfuck out of it, and if the fandom hadn't reacted in such a knee-jerk way. My self included. I wish we'd all been calmer and just told NT to go fuck themselves and ignore Tameem's attempts to rile us all up with his brand of stupid.

They were loyal fans from this fandom that tired that approach with legitimate reasons, but to no avail. In the end,it doesn't matter how nicely and politely you tell companions like Cas$hcom how much you disapprove if all they care about is your money. People were getting banned and blocked anything you dared to speak out against it. At that point, can you blame some of the fans?

And to no one's surprise,gaming journalists continue to prove that they have no form of integrity or intelligence whatsoever by giving this massive turd such excellent scores. I guess it is true that you can buy your way to success without even trying. Looks like the Devil May Cry we all know and love is dead. The only good news I bring is that despite the reviewers kissing Capcom's ass and lying in their reviews,this disaster is still selling poorly with the DMC HD collection doing much much better.

There's even going to be DLC for the original Dante. I thought Tameem said that he was lame.

Tameem can go die in a ditch. I'm not surprised the HD collection's selling well.

I've more or less understood DMC's dead in the water now. At least it went out on a decent game like DMC4. I don't count this abomination as part of the series so for all intents and purposes, it went out ok.

I highly doubt there'll be a sequel to the crap one or a continuation of the original series. So...I'm quietly giving up and moving on. I'll keep my affection for the old series alive, that's all.
